Lima! Last place in Peru before Argentina. Quite scary how fast its all gone really. Have really enjoyed Peru, definitly the favourite of the three countries we´ve done so far in S.America. Spent 2 nights here, and explored central lima, and the up market Miraflores. The city is pretty huge, so when we went to Miraflores, we got to be among the ´bus riding´ population, which was a different experience. Our first day in lima looking round was good, except for Amanda falling ill, though at least it showed us that the locals aren´t all that bad, as at least 4 came to check that all was ok when amanda half-collapsed in the street. Our next day, like i say we went to miraflores which is up on the cliffs closer to the coast than central lima, and boasts the best hotels, casinos, restaurants, and pinapple sorbet. nice shops and a nice area to walk around, though they clearly take advantage of the area, pumping up their prices as opposed to the center, where you can get a set meal and a drink for under 2pounds. Got a late flight To Buenos Aires where we were crammed like sardines into the plane. makes us miss the comparative bucket fulls of space that you get on economy long haul flights. Time to explore the eastern countries of South America.
