Thailand was the place in all my travels i knew the least about!! So i really didn't know what to expected!! I half expected it to be like the island in Fiji but i couldn't be more wrong!! Phi Phi was really built up and busy ( by built up iam loads of shops/shacks etc.) There were no cars in Phi Phi, Just push bikes!! So we got to the Pier and a Thai man chucked our backpacks into a big wheel borrow thing and off we followed him , through the streets to our hotel!! Yet again we got the hotel wrong again!! We were right up in the outback, right next to a sewage river! NICE!! The rooms were little wooden shacks, No Air con it was boiling in there!! Getting ready for a night a night out was a nightmare, you put your make up on it it literally sweat straight back off you face , no joke! I thought that Malaysia was hot but this was a whole another scale! So at night in phi phi it is just like a Greece holiday like kos/Malia. The whole place is one big party! Stalls selling buckets,music blaring people in the street everywhere. We bumped into Tom and Ollie form NZ so went out for dinner with them! We headed out to our first bar called Reggae Bar, It had a massive boxing ring in the middle,So while you drink your buckets ( yes i said buckets all drink come in big buckets here!!) You watch Thai boxing ( most people couldn't even stand let alone fight but some people took it seriously!) Every half hour the real Thai boxers got in@There was one point were one of the thai guys got kicked out of the ring and landed on a table full of girls on top of loads of glasses!! After the bars we headed off to the Clubs which are just big open party's on the beach! I do love a party on the beach! They had people doing fire tricks, i had a go at the fire limbo!! didnt even singe any hair!! The night ended in some extreme drunkenness as usual!! Most of the rest of the week followed the same pattern ..laying on the beach all day ..Parting on the beach at night!! For Rosie's birthday we went to Koh Phi li, its the island were the Film 'The Beach' was filmed! it was beautiful not quite as it looked in the film but hey!! We stopped off at the lagoon for a swim, then walked through the island to the Actual beach! It was amazing but i didn't see Leonardo DiCaprio!! Shame!! Next stop Railai bay!!!
