So How do you know that you have defiantly arrived in Singapore! You get off the plane, find a toilet and as well as normal toilets there are Squatting pans!! Yep Squatting pans! Also not only is there the normal customs part but there is also a temperature scanner..Testing for Swine Flu! Then you walk out side for a fag and the heat hits you like Train! Wow welcome to Singapore!! No i knew that Asia was going to be hot but Oh my god it was boiling and it was 9pm! The Sweat just drips off you it so humid! We checked into our hostel which was really nice and went for a little walk around, after about an hour we we so hot we gave up and headed to bed, in a nice Air coned room! The following day we took a bus tour around the city to see all the sights! Singapore is a really cool but strange place. On one side you have the Mega expensive houses and the malls with the Prada and Rolex shops! Then on the other you have a China town,A little India and all the markets etc! We had slightly got used to the heat , and i use the word slightly loosely! It was good to see the city and learn a little about the place! So after our dinner ...$3 dollar chicken and rice (yep thats about a quid for dinner!) We headed out, to check out the night life! We went to a bar called 'The clinic', Looks like a hospital, where you sit in wheelchairs and wheel your self around! The drinks come in Syringes or on a drip that you put in your mouth..Defiantly a new experience, but good fun! So after a a few bars and then to a old reliable backpackers bar...We were heading back home for bed!! Singapore done... Next stop Kalua Lumper! With another dreaded Long bus journey ahead of us , we were pleasantly surprised with the Bus thoou! Massive recliner seats...this might not be such a bad bus journey after all! I have a very set routine on these long bus journeys! Read some book - Ipod in - Sleep! Just as i was drifting off to sleep we had to get off the bus to go through immigration, So just like an airport we had to go through passport control. Back on the bus another hour later in a deep sleep we were woken up again, this time we had to take all of our bags inc backpacks off the bus, and go into another random building to stamp our visas, and put our bags through a xray scanner. We were then ushered into a little medical room, to fill out a health questionnaire and have our temperature taken...Dam Swine flu! Back on the again we only had another hour to go now, so there was no point me sleeping! I was fooled by the big comfy seats thinking this was going to be a nice bus journey! We got off the bus ..Wow, It was manic people and cars everywhere, Two men asked if we wanted a cab , so we jumped at the chance. When we got to there cars we realsied that they were not propa cabs but they already had our bags in the back of the car, So we had no choice! After a slightly dodgy cab ride and be charged to much we made it to our hostel! Again from the outside this was all a big culture shock we had a big Malaysian market, which we had to walk through! Inside the hostel thou it was really nice! it just looked a little scary from the outside , big 5 story tower block that the locals lived in, the hostel was right on the top floor! We headed out to find food , after about half hour of walking we gave up from tiredness, heat and slight scariness of the place so ended up in Pizza hut!! The meal in total for 6 of us came to 14 quid! Think iam going to love asia! The next day we did another hop on hop of bus ( when you dont have a lot of time somewhere its the easiest thing to do) Kuala Lumper is a beautiful city!! Iam not really into Architecture but some of there buildings are amazing! Stopping at the china town market was big mistake!! SHOPPING!!! We all went crazy and bought a dress or 2 but they only cost like 4 quid each so that's ok!! ( i had almost had a nerves breakdown when i walked into the KL topshop and wanted to buy everything but had no money!!) The next day we went to a Elephant Sanctuary and a Petting Farm, We Got to feed dears,Hold a snake, Feed a ostrich, feed a Black bear! Not your normal Petting Zoo! We stopped of at a aboriginal Village, and got shown around there little school were we tried our hand at Hunting! They had a Target board which you had to blow theses darts ( in real life poison darts!!) through a piece of Bamboo! I hit the jackpot first time!! Born to be a hunter … I think not! They teach this stiff to the kids as well as the usual school Stuff which is pretty cool! At the Elephant s Sanctuary we feed the elephants the got to ride them..Actually very uncomfortable! Then we got to go for a swim with them in the lake and bath a baby elephant! It was incredible! So glad we did it! Next stop.....umm i dont actually know!
