Happy that Vinny was now working we made our way to Queenstown via Mt Cook. The scenery here is really where it starts to get beautiful. With huge snowtipped mountains, huge lakes and acres of green and yellow fields. Mt Cook itself is still cover in snow, and the lake that sits to its east makes for some spectacular photographs. There is also a little church just to the south which holds services by the lake every sunday - really cosy place!
From here we drove to Queenstown - a real gem in the New Zealands endless pretty places. Its renowned for its Mountain views, tranquil walks and huge lakes. Again absolutely beautiful place, we dawned the gondola to see the Remarkable mountain range (thats what they are called the remarkables). The scenery is just breathtaking - real lord of the rings country down here. We also indulged in New Zealands best burger - Fergburger only available in Queenstown and Megan felt I quote "a little wrong afterwards" - ha! Camping up at a new camp ground called Q we needed no more food and had an early night.
