Hi All, well we are back in Rio after a wonderful few weeks on laying on beaches up and down the brazil coast. From Buzios we travelled to neighbouring Arrail do Cabo which had the best beaches, the water was gorgeous and the sand very white, very beautiful. From there we came back via Rio and went south to Paraty. Its an old colonial town of cobbled streets and old churches and buildings, very different from anything we have seen in Brazil, very intersting. A few nights there then on the move again to Ilhe Grande. An island paradise. The island is very basic, not built up at all and no cars,just men with wheelburrows! and again amazing beaches, we even saw and swam by some turtles.
So now we are back in Rio for our last 2 days before we fly home on the 26th. We have met up with some of the girls we volunteered with in Cusco which is brilliant, so weird to be sat in Rio with them but a lovely way to finish our trip. We had a big night out last night and drank more than we have been lately, trying to bulid ourselves up for all the ´drinks´ we are arranging when we get home.
Not sure what to do for the next 2 days as it is raining here - booooo. so we may have to live it up Rio style in its best pubs and bars.
